I set up this blog partly because of a desire to communicate with students and thought this and Facebook groups might help. Not really and some of the things i want to do now possible on college VLE and increasingly through twitter. So I’mm packing up this blog. However have started a new on specifically about sport and crime and the criminal justice of sport. It’s called Sports Criminology. Here’s the link.

The issue of gender is at its most tricky when dealing with physical one-on-one sports. Over forty years ago I used to spar in Judo with a couple of women and today continue to be beaten at running and swimming by other women.
